1st Iberian Conference on Pattern Recognition and Image Analysis Pto. Andratx, (Mallorca, Spain), del 04 de June de 2003 al 06 de June de 2003 ...

This International Conference is expected to be the first of a series of similar events organized every two years, by Portuguese and Spanish associations with expertise in the fields of Pattern Recognition and Image analysis. Its mission is to foster co-operation between Iberian and international scientific communities in all areas within the IAPR scope. International participation is very welcome to promote this event. The interest of the program and Organisation committees is to share brand new knowledge on the above mentioned topics and increase the co-operation between research teams. Prominent speakers have been invited to give lectures.

Se convoca a todos los socios de la AERFAI a la asamblea general que tendrá lugar el jueves 5 de junio de 2003 a las 17:00 en el marco del "IbPRIA: Iberian Conference on Pattern Recognition and Image Analysis" a celebrar en el Puerto de Andratx (Mallorca), con el siguiente orden del día: 1.- Lectura y aprobación del acta de la sesión anterior. 2.- Memoria de actividades. 3.- Estado de la asociación y balance económico. 4.- Ratificación de la gestión de la Junta Directiva en el periodo 2001-2003. 5.- Presupuesto y propuesta de gastos futuros. 6.- Discusión y aprobación, si procede, de los nuevos Estatutos y del Reglamento de Régimen Interno de la AERFAI. 7.- Propuestas de actividades entre Congresos 8.- Ruegos y preguntas. GREC 2003 - Fifth IAPR International Workshop on Graphics Recognition Computer Vision Center - Barcelona, del 30 de July de 2003 al 31 de July de 2003 ...

You are invited to participate in a single-track 2-day workshop on methods and systems for graphics recognition organized by IAPR TC-10 (Technical Committee on Graphics Recognition). This is the fifth workshop in the series. The previous workshops were held at the Penn State University (USA), Nancy (France), Jaipur (India) and Kingston (Canada). GREC 2003 will be held at the Computer Vision Center, a R+D institution located at the campus of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. GREC 2003 will be held just preceding ICDAR 2003, the Seventh International Conference on Document Analysis and Recognition (Edimburgh, Scotland, August 3-6, 2003).
